Last week....

Last day with my peeps has begun

Omg , I can't believe the day has finally arrived---after some good times with my friends and pleasant days with my kids, I can feel the tension rising up my chest and making me think about my upcoming trip all the time..

so much to do, so much to do... packing (both my suitcases had been overweigh, so I need to figure something new out...), charge all my electronic supplies, stuff everything in my carry-on that's possible, check in online, and still be here for the kids and enjoy time with them..

Honestly, it is a little much, but whatcha gonna do...

I am looking back to a year full of ups and downs, fun, visits and trips...

Alrighty, bank account closed, suitcases all packed up, last pictures taken with friends, getting more excited about the upcoming trip every day and working out to get a little bit more in shape for the pictures of the vacation ;) I am ready!!!
THis week I had a cooking-evening with my friend Vanessa...I cooked pasta while she was responsible for the dessert-- yuummy Phillies ice cream!!! wow, I have not eaten so much ice cream in a long long time ;)
It was a great evening, and I spent some special evenings with my friends ... it will be sad to say goodbye!

To Do List

Suitcases are packed, are not even too heavy and I am getting excited- five more skype-dates with Dani to go and then I am gonna be in Chicago on vacation!
Can't believe how fast time is flying right now- it's already Tuesday again, my room is cleaned, just the clothes that I'm gonna wear this week are left outside the suitcase and I am thinking about how to handle my carry-on luggage... aah, I am just so excited!!!
The weekend was a relaxed one, though... went to a mall for the last time, spent time with friends, and discovered an All-you-can-eat china buffet--I dunno if it's a good thing that I discovered it that late or a good thing...hmm---it was delicious, anyway ;)
Sushi, Chicken, Veggies, Chinese sauces, baked bananas, chocolate fountain, soy ... mmmh yum!

Mission Impossible!!!!

That's what I called my new project- packing all my stuff in two suitcases..
it is just too much! I mean I was very well aware of that fact, but I hadn't realized before HOW MUCH stuff I REALLY have!
So, I started out to divide my clothes into several piles--- the clothes I want to keep are just too many..I am so screwed... The pile that I would liiiike to take home but will have to stay here if there's not enough space is pretty big too, although I am doing pretty good on throwing out the stuff I know I am not gonna wear again...
well...here are these two piles first:

and here is the stuff I would like to take home---every pile is about 40-50 cm high..shoot!

and of course my shoes..although some flipflops, my pair of sneakers and my running shoes are missing in the pic... :/

GO PHILLIES GO!!!

YAAAAAY--- finally  I got to go to a Phillies Game last Wednesday in Philadelphia! Even though I didn't get the whole game and I still prefer speedier games like soccer or skiing, I loved feeling the atmosphere that dominated the stadium.. when the "Phans" cheered or phantics yelled and the smell of cotton candy and hot dog was in the air...!

Also my kids loved it- they had a great time, and they understood more of the game than me- although I think I still did a pretty good job (I just was surprised when the game all of a sudden came to an end and everyone got out of their seats ;) )
I also liked that the skyline was visible from where we sat...it was just a fun evening with good comfort food and a relaxed atmosphere!

Baking Big Apple

I had a veeeery sweaty, but fun and awesome weekend in New York City with one of my friends Clara- we were walking through SoHo, Grennwich, all the way down to Brooklyn Bridge and Pier 17, and just had a great time talking, shopping and enjoying being in the Big Apple...

I cant remember being so hot before, it was craaaazy! We decided not to go all the way up to Brooklyn Bridge, because we were just too hot!

But, as I said, Nyc is always great and the trees of Central Park thankfully gave some shade:)

days are left. Am I freakin out?- mmh, maybe a lil bit... this weekend I am going to start packing, just to be ready in time and to have everything ready...time will fly by anyways- already is!
Right now we are, as always, enjoying the best weather ever and are makin some trips, hanging out at the pool, etc...it is fun!

Tage sinds, bis ich im Flieger sitz und die Stunden zählen werde, bis ich meinen liebsten Dani wiedersehe!
Kanns garnicht glauben,... 4 Wochen, dann ists soweit!
Im Moment vergeht die Zeit noch schneller als sonst,...die Tage ziehen vorbei, Vieles und doch nichts geschieht, und ich denk die ganze Zeit ans Packen- was kann ich mitnehmen, was BRAUCH ich?(nix, wenn mas genau nimmt, denn wer braucht schon 5paar High-Heels und 20 verschiedene Ohrringe?)...was muss ich beachten beim Reisen, WIE SOLL ICH ANFANGEN,MEIN ZIMMER AUSZURÄUMEN???
Dann natürlich auch nocht die Zeit genießen, die ich mit meinen Kindern hab, wo ich die im August nurmehr 3 Tage seh...viel Zeit will ich auch noch mit Freundinnen verbringen..wie gesagt, die Zeit läuft davon, was eigentlich gut ist, da ich, nach fast einem Jahr, auch denke, dass es genug ist. Viele meiner besten Freundinnen sind jetzt im Reisemonat oder zuHause, dass is auch schwer zu begreifen..und fast jede Woche lerne ich neue liebe Mädchen kennen.
Freu mich schon riesig auf daheim- auf alle meine Liiiiebsten, aber, ehrlich gesagt, auch aufs Essen und Österreich! Hab mir nicht gedacht, dass man Linz so vermissen kann...
Honestly, ich bin auch schon gespannt aufs Studieren..was wirds bringen, welche neuen Leute lern ich kennen?
Es spinnen viele Gedanken gerade in meinem Kopf herum...
Muss noch einige Sachen erledigen, aber fürs Reisen selbst ist schon alles bezahlt.
Meinen Beinen gehts noch immer nicht besser--Gsd brauch ich die beim am-Pool-Chillen nicht..
Merk auch grad, dass ich üüübelst den Einfluss hab beim Schreiben von meinen deutschen Freundinnen ;) Kraaass! ;)

Mit den Kindern läufts grad echt gut.. freu mich aber schon, wenn ich Zeit für mich zum Packen, Gedanken und Koffer sortieren hab...
29 Tage...kanns wer glauben`? Und noch immer keine Fluginfo von CC...Zeit wirds Leutchen!!!

Ansonsten steht Violin Camp bei Kaitie an, Pool, Bibliothek(Mann, Stieg Larsson war ein Genie! Lieb seine Bücher!!!), Starbucks Treffen, faul sein, Skypen- endlich mal wieder mit da Claudia...
und mit Dani das Reisen planen--er is da Beste, hat sogar schon die Route!!! :))

Naja...meld mich bald wieder...

Happy B-Day Kyle!

Yay- can't believe that my both-front-teeth- missing buddy already turned 7!
I thought this day would never come!
Well, for his big day, we made a Super Mario themed pool party and invited his friends and family- and it was a huge success!
Splashing in the pool, playing games, eating yummy cake and snacks and of course the pinjata made the day an awesome experience for everyone!
The kids had a blast and after all the cleaning up in the evening we were looking back at a day full of fun and excitement! :)

ein österreichisches Wiedersehen!

am Mittwoch wars endlich soweit- hab wieder mal jemanden aus Österreich gesehen!!!! Aber es war ja nicht "irgenjemand", es war da liebe Mayaaaa!!!
Ups, Chrisi, des mag ich mir ja jetzt angewöhnen ;)
Schon im Zug nach Philly, wo wir uns getroffen haben, bin ich nervös gewordn, aber sobald ich ihn und die restliche Bagage gesehn hab is ma gleich anders geworden und ich hab mich einfach nur riesig gefreut!!!

Haben einen netten, ziemlich gesprächigen Tag in Philly bei wuuunderschönstem, schweißtreibendem Wetter verbracht!
War echt eine schöne Zeit und hat mir gezeigt, dass ich bereit für daheim bin!
5 Wochen, dann seh ich meinen Liebsten, und in 9 Wochen habts mich in Österreich wieder :)

Happy 4th of July Weekend!

On Saturday Laura, Clarissa and me made our way into Philly to get some taste of the festivities going on there... we actually planned staying at the Chinese Block Party in Chinatown for a while, but as this turned out not to be that much in our interest, we decided to have some lunch at my favorite market in Philly and then just hang out in Philly and enjoy the awesome weather.

Since we love the Love-Park, we just hung out there, dipped our feet in the water (since we saw that a guy was washing his dirty underwear in it) and talked...talked...talked...

Hahaaa, but that was not it! We found out that there was an Super-Scooper All- you-can eat- ice-cream-festival goin on in Penn's Landing, Philly, so we instinctively went there to enjoy tasty, yummy, delicious, creamy, american ice-cream...aaah...man, we were stuffed! :D
